Meet Maille O'Nuallain, our Cairn Terrier.  She is a 4 year old silver brindle.  She is quite the Star in our neighborhood.  Everyone loves Maille and Maille loves everyone, especially children!  Maille's daddy was Best of Breed in the Westminster Show but she didn't care! "Tah", says she!  Maille is originally a Minnesota gal, but has been a Wisconsin girl for most of her sweet little life (and of course, a Packer fan).

Today is the last day of July! Where did the month go?! Bill, Maille & I have had a great time so far this summer. After going to South Dakota, we went up through the UP (Upper Peninsula) and over to Petoskey Michigan where we stayed for a few days. Petoskey is a great tourist area, very much like Fish Creek and Door County. In fact, there are many, many similarities between our little villages. It is on the east side of Lake Michigan and we are on the west side and they are just a tad bit north of where we are located. We had good weather while there, but have experienced heavy rain and thunderstorms elsewhere. We also spent a few days in Wisconsin Dells where our youngest granddaughter was in swim competition. What a beautiful swimmer she has become....Butterfly is her specialty; WOW! It is such a beautiful stroke and is so difficult to perfect! How proud we are of her!

What's new at Forget-Me-Not,LLC you may be wondering.  Well, we just received another shipment from Tonner which is always fun!  More outfits for 'Cami & Jon', a new doll from the 'Monica Merrill' line and Gone with the Wind's Scarlett 'What My Lamb Gonna Wear' doll.  She is awesome!  Take a look!

She won't be around too long.  We have been waiting quite awhile for this beauty!

I have also been working on another NeedleArt project and have fit it into a custom Walnut Box created by 'Treasures in Wood'.  What do you think of them?
The NeedleArt is done in silk embroidery floss with crystals & pearls and one larger crystal heart.
This box is solid walnut with dovetail corners; quite a beauty!

In my haste to post on my blog, I totally left out the picture of 'Peninsula State Park'.  Isn't it just beautiful!  It is hard to find a more beautiful or tranquil spot.

Beautiful Fish Creek WI in Door County

Did I tell you all tht Fish Creek was voted a #1 small town get-away destination by 'Midwest Living' magazine.  Now you can't get any better than that!  We are the best that Door County has to offer....we have it all....art, nature, water, to name just a few, and one of the best of all, beautiful Peninsula State Park  ....3,776 acres, which by the way, celebrates its Centennial this year.  You can just imagine all the activity that has been going on there and will continue throughout the year.  This beautiful park is on miles of Green Bay shoreline, where one can hike, bike, camp or cross-country ski in the winter months.  The sights are breathtaking, whether you are on the beach, at the lighthouse, or looking at the limestone bluffs 150 ft high.  What a very perfect place to be!

Now onto 'Forget-Me-Not, LLC':  Many comments about the 'Cami & Jon' Collection by Tonner.  Those of you who have pre-ordered the outfits are going to be very happy ....four of the ensembles are expected in this week.  Now how exciting is that!  And those of you who have been thinking, 'should I or shouldn't I order' had better decide quickly because I cannot re-order; once they are gone, they're gone!

The thought I leave with you today is:  Everyday is filled with new discoveries; just think of the possibilities

I would love to hear from you, so stay in touch and check in often.
Have a good week; take care of yourself and your loved ones.

A Dreary Day Here In Door County!

This afternoon is a good time to curl up in a chair and read a good book or stitch a fine stitch; oh, how relaxing is that!  I have just finished another heart sachet to add to my collection of sachets.  Here it is; what do you think?  Overall, it is about 6 inches (tall & wide).  They all have a ribbon loop so they can be hung on a doorknob or hanger or wherever one wishes; quite versatile little sachets!

My thought for you today is:  Dream, always dream, and hold onto those dreams.  Anything is possible!

Happy Independence Day!

The weather is just great and there will be parties, parades, picnics and fireworks over Green Bay this weekend in Fish Creek as we celebrate Our Country's Independence! The crowds are here shopping and boating in preparation for the big event coming; what fun it will be!

We had cause to celebrate on May 15/16  here when Fish Creek's 'White Gull Inn' became extremely famous and was on ABC's Good Morning America. After nationwide on-line voting by GMA viewers on May 15, the White Gull Inn was declared the winner in the 'Best Breakfast in America Challenge'.Of course their winning breakfast was their now famous (and deliciously yummy) cherry stuffed French toast. The cherries are a local product here in Door County, of course. How proud we are of our Door County, Fish Creek, 'White Gull Inn' and our local cherries. The next time you are up this way be sure to stop.

Forget-Me-Not, LLC is working with quite a few clients in putting together Tea Parties as related to invitations and place cards, so if you are looking for tea place cards and/or portfolios, look no further. We have them for you. Nothing grander than sending out invitations for your very special Tea Party. And along with that, what about your hostess apron. Our beautiful hostess aprons bring many 'oohs and aahs' from all who purchase them and wear them for their Tea, or give them as a gift.  You  too will love them. At least 2 yards of fabric is used in creating each apron and there is plenty of handstitching in each one too, making them special indeed!  Be sure to view at them at:   http://www.forgetmenotllc.com/aprons.shtml
